Théâtre la Seizième presents Cuisine & Confessions
JANUARY 25-29, 2017
600 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
Wednesday to Saturday at 8 PM
Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM
“A MARVELOUS FEAST.” -The Boston Globe
“ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS CIRCUS COMPANY IN THE WORLD.” - Le Monde, France
In this gigantic kitchen, nine acrobats unite to create the most delightful meal! Ingredients are thrown this way and that, dish rags becomes aerial ribbons, bodies fold and unfold in a haze of flour, and the utensils waltz from one hand to the next. Among breathtaking acrobatics, family recipes are shared, as are childhood memories and other intimate moments.
Following the sold-out run of Séquence 8 in 2015, Théâtre la Seizième is delighted to welcome back The 7 fingers in Vancouver. With Cuisine & Confessions, they whipped up an unforgettable feast. Accompanying their usual eye-popping flight of acrobatic choreography and pulsating music are the other three senses — the touch of hands in batter, the smell of cookies baking, the taste of roasted oregano — leading us through a span of times and countries.
Presented by: Théâtre la Seizième in collaboration with Tom Lightburn
Produced by: 7 fingers
Creation and Staging: Shana Carroll and Sébastien Soldevila
With: Sidney Iking Bateman, Melvin Diggs, Mishannock Ferrero, Anna Kachalova, Anna Kichtchenko, Nella Niva, Matias Plaul and Pablo Pramparo
