Four of Vancouver’s foremost classical music ensembles – The Postmodern Camerata, Vancouver Chamber Choir, Vancouver Orpheus Male Voice Choir, and the Vancouver Youth Choir – are performing at Dunbar Ryerson United Church on September 16th (7:30pm). ReSounding Dunbar Ryerson is a fundraising concert in support of the church’s mission of Enriching Lives Through Faith, Community, and the Arts.

In addition to its own programs, the thriving congregation at Dunbar Ryerson has welcomed and supported local and visiting performers in its outstanding venue for music for over 80 years.  Ensembles ranging from the CBC Vancouver Orchestra to a host of local choirs and touring ensembles have enjoyed Dunbar Ryerson’s warm acoustics for rehearsals, performances, and recording sessions. This concert is an opportunity for the community to both recognize and thank Dunbar Ryerson for that decades-long tradition of welcome and support.  All funds raised at ReSounding Dunbar Ryerson go toward the refurbishment of this beloved music venue.

Plans are afoot to make Dunbar Ryerson an even better facility for community-based performers and audiences for generations to come.  Enjoy this showcase concert of stunning music and help ensure a bright future of community music-making at Dunbar Ryerson.

Proudly sponsored by the Georgia Straight.
